EasyTalk Terms of Use
Last updated: 22 July 2026
⚠️ Draft pending legal review. This text covers what Apple's guideline 1.2 requires for apps with user-generated content and the basics of the GDPR, but no lawyer has reviewed it. This is a commercial product that takes money: a professional should look at it before launch.
1. Who we are
EasyTalk is a messaging service with automatic translation operated by Pol Marzà Fusté, with address at Calle Santa Rosa 58, 1º · 08901 L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona), Spain, and tax ID (NIF) 46472621V.
You can write to us any time at support@easytalk.ai.
2. What EasyTalk is
EasyTalk lets you talk with other people while each of you writes in your own language: your messages are automatically translated into the language of the person receiving them.
Translation is performed by third-party artificial intelligence models. We do not guarantee that translations are accurate. They may contain errors, lose nuance or misread context, especially with slang, irony or ambiguous text. Do not use EasyTalk for communications where a translation error could have serious consequences — medical, legal, financial or safety-related. You can always see the original text by tapping any message.
3. Your account
To use EasyTalk you need to create an account and be at least 16 years old. If you are younger, you may not use the service.
You are responsible for the activity on your account. Your username is unique and cannot be changed once chosen.
4. Zero tolerance for unacceptable content and conduct
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. By using EasyTalk you agree not to send, post or share content that:
- harasses, threatens, intimidates or incites hatred or violence against a person or a group;
- is sexually explicit, or that involves minors in any way;
- promotes illegal activities, self-harm, terrorism or the exploitation of people;
- is spam, unsolicited advertising, scams or attempts at fraud;
- impersonates another person or organisation;
- infringes other people's intellectual property rights;
- spreads third parties' personal data without their consent.
You also may not use the service to access other people's accounts, interfere with its operation, extract data by automated means or circumvent usage limits.
How to report and block
Inside any conversation, the header menu lets you report the other person by giving a reason, and block them. When you block someone, the two of you can no longer write to each other and you disappear from each other's searches; you can undo it whenever you want from Settings → Blocked people.
We review every report within a maximum of 24 hours. To be able to do that we keep a copy of the reported messages (see the Privacy Policy).
What we do when the rules are broken
Depending on the seriousness and on repeat behaviour, we may remove content, suspend your account temporarily or close it permanently, without prior notice when the breach is serious. Accounts closed for breaching these rules carry no right to a refund of unused credits.
5. Credits
Sending messages consumes credits, which you can buy inside the app. Receiving messages is always free.
- One credit equals one translated message of up to 160 characters, per target language. Longer messages consume additional credits proportionally, like SMS.
- Credits do not expire, are not transferable and have no monetary value outside EasyTalk. They cannot be exchanged for money.
- Purchases are handled through the App Store or Google Play, and refunds are requested from them, according to their policies.
- We may change the prices of the packs; credits already bought are not affected.
6. Your messages
The messages you send are yours. To provide the service we need to store them, translate them and show them to the person they are addressed to; for that purpose you grant us a limited licence, and for that purpose only.
EasyTalk does not use end-to-end encryption. It could not: translation happens on our servers and requires access to the text. Messages travel encrypted and are stored encrypted, but technically we can access them. We prefer to say it plainly rather than suggest a privacy that does not exist. If you need absolute confidentiality, use an app with end-to-end encryption.
The full history of a conversation is visible to both participants.
7. Availability and changes
We do our best to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee that it will run without interruptions. We may modify or discontinue features; if a change affects you significantly, we will let you know with reasonable notice.
If we update these terms, we will notify you in the app. Continuing to use EasyTalk afterwards means you accept them.
8. Closing your account
You can close your account whenever you want by writing to us at support@easytalk.ai. When you do, we will delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Unused credits are lost when you close the account voluntarily.
9. Liability
EasyTalk is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit or the consequences of translation errors. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that consumer legislation grants you as a consumer.
We are not responsible for the content other users send, although we do act on it when it is reported to us, as described in section 4.
10. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to go to the courts of your place of residence.
Language
This is a translation of the Spanish original for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails, and is available at https://easytalk.ai/terminos.
